Which AI Should You Use?
A no-nonsense guide to finding your perfect AI match

Hello friends,
Welcome to another edition of AI for the Rest of Us!
You may have noticed that the world of AI systems and chatbots has become crowded and confusing. ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok... suddenly there are dozens of options, each with weird names and even weirder version numbers, all claiming to be your perfect AI assistant.
This week, we’re cutting through the noise to give you a straightforward breakdown of the major AI tools. I’ll share what each one does best, where they fall short, and how they “act.”
Whether you’re just starting your AI journey or already juggling multiple chatbots (or haven’t touched an AI yet), my goal is to guide you in navigating this messy landscape and help you figure out which AI is the right fit for you.
Here we go...

In the Know
Which One’s Right for You?
You know that feeling when you walk into a grocery store for “just milk” and suddenly find yourself staring at 47 different kinds of milk? That’s what it’s like for many of us looking at AI assistants today. Everyone’s heard of ChatGPT, but now there’s Claude, Gemini, Grok, and a whole bunch of others vying for your attention. And what’s up with all of these weird names and numbers after the already-weird product names (4o, 3.7 sonnet, 2.5, etc.)? It’s enough to make you want to give up and just give your kids apple juice.
But here’s the thing – for the rest of us, these tools are a lot more similar than they are different. It’s like choosing between Honda and Toyota – both will be reliable and get you where you need to go (and both are gonna get nailed with tariffs 🤦🏻♂️), one’s just slightly less boring than the other. And hey, I own a Toyota and until last month had a Honda, so I can say that.
Let’s break down the major players and help you figure out which one might be best for you. And fair warning – this space is moving so quickly that some of this might be outdated in a few months. The key is to just choose one and start using it as much as you can. More on that in my advice section at the end.
The rest of the newsletter is for premium members only. Consider upgrading to view this edition and all previous ones on our website. And starting in two weeks, you’ll get the full newsletter in your inbox every other Friday.
