AI Goes to School [Part III]
Teachers and Administrators Face the Brave New World of AI

Hello friends,
Welcome to Edition #10 of AI for the Rest of Us. We’ve reached the final installment of our three-part series on AI and Education, and this week we’re turning our attention to the people on the frontlines: our teachers and administrators.
For those just joining us (welcome!), we spent Part I looking at the overall landscape of AI in education, and in Part II, we focused on students and parents. Today, we’re diving into how teachers and administrators are navigating what many are calling the biggest shift in education since the Internet entered our schools.

P.S. If you’re new here and want to catch up, I highly recommend reading Parts I and II of this series. And while you’re at it, the second and third editions of AI for the Rest of Us are great primers on AI itself.

In the Know
The more I dig into AI’s impact on education, the more I realize that teachers and administrators are in an almost impossible situation. They’re being asked to understand, implement, and sometimes prevent AI tools – all while doing their already demanding jobs. It’s sorta like trying to change your tires while driving down the highway at 70mph.
